BMW and MOG are now compatible!
I have been subscribing to MOG for several months and I read that they would implement the app into BMW apps a couple months ago. Since I have a the BMW apps package, I was really looking forward to this update.
Before the update, I was using bluetooth audio to play MOG over my stereo, however, the user interface on the nav screen was very limiting. While it did show the song name and give the user the option to skip forward or back, the only way to change albums was by making the change on the iPhone. Not really something I wanted to do while driving.
The update does require the iPhone to be plugged into the cradle (which I do not have) or have it hooked to the USB port in the center armrest. I have a pro clip mount in my car that has a port on the bottom for hooking it up to a iPhone compatible USB cable. I simply ran the cable (kind of ugly) from the center armrest to the bottom of the mount and it works like a charm.
Next up, I was able to search, play music I downloaded earlier, or look at MOG suggestions. It works great and I am sure it will only get better.
