This is the lens that is thrown in with the 20D for about $100.  It has some functionality and I like it indoors, but I have replaced it with the Sigma 18-200mm.  This is not to say it is a bad lens, but it is only worthwhile in certain situations.  Other people may like it because it is not heavy and is very sharp.
